Who are we and what services do we provide?

We are the Children and Families Resources Team and are part of West Lothian Council. We are a fully qualified team of professional social workers responsible for the recruitment, training and ongoing support of carers for children. We also provide assessments for other local authorities and reports for the Courts in Step-parent Adoption and Residence Order cases.

There is no charge for our services.

Our services for children are:

  • Foster Care
  • Respite Foster Care
  • Permanency
  • Outreach and Day Care
  • Step-parent Adoption
  • Relative Fostering
  • Non-Agency Carers
  • Residence Order Reports

Please take a look around our website for more information about what is involved in becoming a carer or fosterer. If there is anything you need to ask, please see our Contact Us page for ways you can get in touch with us.
